Cross Centered Church
The church in the ancient city of Corinth had issues. Infighting, immaturity, arrogance, extreme sexual immorality, litigation, idolatry, drunkenness and distorted doctrine just to name a few. But in his first letter to this dysfunctional church, the Apostle Paul offers up a single solution. He sums it up this way, “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”. (I Corinthians 2:2)
If we are candid with each other, we too have issues in our private lives, our relationships and in our church. But what would it look like for us to tackle our sin problems head on with the power of “Jesus Christ and him crucified”? How would our lives, our homes, our church and our city look differently if we committed to know nothing more than person and work of Jesus?
Join us on Sunday mornings at 9 or 11 beginning January 7th as we study the confrontational and ageless letter of First Corinthians. And join us as we live out our faith together in the cross of Jesus every other day of the week in the New Year at North Church.
